The Dow Gardens: Come discover 110 acres of identified trees, shrubs, herbaceous perennials, and flowers growing in a beautiful and educational mid-Michigan horticultural garden. Dow Gardens was established in 1899 by Herbert H. Dow for the enjoyment of his family, friends, and associates. Since then, the gardens have delighted hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the world.

The Dow Gardens is owned and operated by the Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation.

Whiting Forest: Whiting Forest is 40 acres and 2 miles of trails right in the City of Midland –it’s located just ¼ mile north of the main Dow Gardens on Eastman Avenue. Make time to enjoy seven different types of forest, a spacious Visitor Center, hiking trails, covered bridges, and ponds. Whiting Forest is currently open 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. all week.

The Whiting Forest is owned and operated by the Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation.

Midland Center for the Arts: The two "campuses" – Midland Center for the Arts and the Midland County Historical Society’s Heritage Park – are within easy access of US-10 and M-20. Performances, exhibits, films, lectures, permanent hands-on science museum and a permanent collection of Midland artifacts are all included in the activities of MCFTA. Meanwhile, the main campus shares a parking lot with the Dow Gardens, another great regional experience.

The Saginaw Bay Watershed Initiative: The Saginaw Bay Watershed Initiative Network (WIN) was created to enhance the quality of life in the Saginaw Bay Watershed by creating regional networks of on-the-ground projects that demonstrate sustainability. These projects link economic, environmental and community goals. 

The Council of Michigan Foundations: The Council of Michigan Foundations (CMF), incorporated in 1975, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit membership association comprised of more than 481 foundations and corporations making grants for charitable purposes. Their mission to enhance, to improve, and to increase philanthropy in Michigan is accomplished through their primary focus of assisting Michigan grantmakers in their work.

MidMichigan Health: Serving Michigan with hospitals in Midland, Alma, Clare & Gladwin - plus urgent care centers, visiting nurses, nursing homes, physician practices and specialty health services.

City of Midland: The Midland community provides the amenities of big city life with all the charm and security of a mid-sized community. Light traffic, a healthy economy, moderate cost of living, impressive housing stocks, strong educational systems, and easy access to big-city attractions put Midland on Bizjournal's 2008 list of the top "dreamtowns" in America.

Little Forks Conservancy: Since 1996, The Little Forks Conservancy has partnered with private landowners in or near the Tittabawassee River Watershed to protect and preserve the unique natural features of this region.

Chippewa Nature Center: Chippewa Nature Center is a non-profit organization whose mission is to facilitate the enjoyment and understanding of our natural and cultural resources as relevant to the Saginaw Valley's ecosystems, to promote environmental awareness and foster responsible stewardship.

Alden B. Dow Home and Studio: The Alden B. Dow Home & Studio, Midland, Michigan, invites you through the architectural studio and private residence of noted 20th century architect Alden B. Dow. This building's geometric planes and angles, complementing the lines in nature, are accented by Dow's creative use of rich color, glass, wood, and his unique unit block system. By integrating the building with the natural elements that surround it, you become integrated and placed into these elements from within.
